Waterbuoy

Featured on the BBC television series "Dragons Den", Waterbuoy is the world´s first intelligent miniature flotation device. This project was the first in 3 sites for James Halliburton, the entrepreneur behind this clever little gadget.

The Challenge

James himself is a highly accomplished designer with a keen eye for detail, we therefore had to pay extra attention to the aesthetics of this high profile site. To add to the fun the site had to have a content management system that didn´t impair the look of the site. Just to keep us on our toes it was decided that the content management system not only had to administer the Waterbuoy website, but also 2 other websites in the group, Seatriever and Illoom Balloon.

The Solution

The brand style had already been set in a previous incarnation of the site, so we took the concept and gave it a bit of a shake, a splash of water and voila the new look was made. To achieve the bespoke admin functionality we tied the backend in with the same version of Ignition (our content management solution) that drives Seatriever, the umbrella site for the group.

The Results

The new site will enable the young product to grow its web presence as the company expands removing the constant need for ongoing redesigns which tends to be the norm for so many inflexible product sites.
